Not-So-Casual Encounters

The California Court of Appeal recently upheld a school district's dismissal of a teacher on the grounds of evident unfitness for service and immoral conduct based on his posting of a sexually explicit advertisement on Craigslist. Citing the Morrison factors, a seven-part test developed by the California Supreme Court to determine whether a teacher is fit to teach, the Court ruled that the dismissal was warranted, as the actions resulted in compromised district confidence.
