Matthew Vance is an associate in the firm's Los Angeles area office, representing clients in various Labor & Employment matters. He represents clients on Labor and Employment matters. He also assists in general legal matters and in many governance matters, including extensive practice in Public Records Act requests.
An experienced litigation attorney, Mr. Vance has extensive experience in discovery and law and motion practice. His practice has included mediation and arbitration proceedings. Mr. Vance also has trial, post-trial and appellate experience.
Mr. Vance earned his Juris Doctor, with great distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He was a staff writer and associate articles editor for the Pacific McGeorge Business and Development Law Journal. Additionally, he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board. At the Niagara International Moot Court Competition, Mr. Vance won awards for best brief, best oral advocate, and his team earned semi-finalist honors. Mr. Vance holds a bachelor's degree in Business Economics, with high honors, from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mr. Vance is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice in California as well as the United States District Court Central and Eastern Divisions. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and a volunteer for Philanthro Los Angeles, a non-profit organization committed to connecting professionals to promote sustainable philanthropy and volunteerism in creative and fun ways. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watching football.
