Lee G. Rideout is a senior associate in the firm's Los Angeles office. The primary focus of her practice is special education and student matters. Ms. Rideout advises school districts, county offices of education and special education local plan areas. Her legal practice includes mediations and due process hearings, juvenile court proceedings, IEP team meetings, compliance matters and discrimination claims.
Ms. Rideout previously served as Assistant General Counsel with the Atlanta Public Schools for four years, where she focused on special education and student matters.
Prior to her move to Atlanta, Ms. Rideout was with F3 for five years, as a part of the Student Services and Special Education practice group. She previously served as an Attorney Advisor to the District of Columbia Public Schools for over four years. During her tenure there, she provided legal services on a variety of special education and related matters. In addition, she managed various special education class action lawsuits and represented the district in special education due process hearings, and in proceedings before the District of Columbia Contracts Appeals Board.
Ms. Rideout earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh and holds a bachelor's degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. She is licensed to practice in California, Georgia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
