Amanda Georgino is an associate in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire offices and is a member of the firm's Labor & Employment practice group and the Litigation practice group.
Ms. Georgino represents and advises school boards and school administrators on legal issues concerning employees, students, parents, labor associations, and the public. She handles a variety of areas of law, including constitutional rights, American with Disabilities Act/Fair Employment and Housing Act analysis and compliance, benefits and payroll, the Brown Act, collective bargaining, Public Records Act issues, student issues, and discrimination. These matters may involve myriad employment issues, including certificated and classified employees and suggested language for disciplinary and other types of meetings with employees.
Ms. Georgino's experience includes Family Medical Leave Act/California Family Rights Act, Public Employment Relations Board, layoffs, merit systems, Public Records Act, student health services, student discipline, transfers and boundaries, torts, and investigating complaints alleging various topics including physical abuse, discrimination and sexual harassment.
She has also drafted numerous board policies and employee handbooks and has counseled clients through employee investigations and the disciplinary process.
Ms. Georgino received her Juris Doctor from
the University of San Diego School of Law, cum laude, and earned an
undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of
California, Los Angeles. Amanda was admitted to the California State Bar
