Kaley A. Lichtman is an Associate in the firm's San Diego area office specializing in assisting school districts with issues relating to labor and employment, governance and leadership and student matters. She advises and helps clients with investigations, complaints, employee discipline and Public Record Act requests. In addition, Ms. Lichtman also assists clients in the practice areas of litigation and business, facilities and real estate.
Before joining F3, Ms. Lichtman served as an associate with another education law firm in the region, where she primarily focused on civil litigation and employment work. In this position, she successfully represented school districts at administrative hearings and in employment discrimination matters. Ms. Lichtman's legal career also includes volunteer work for numerous organizations that assist immigrants and victims of domestic violence. While attending law school, she served as a legal intern at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California and the Legal Aid Society of Orange County. Prior to pursuing her legal career, Ms. Lichtman worked for a foreign policy think tank in Washington, DC.
Ms. Lichtman earned her Juris Doctor at Southwestern Law School and B.A. in International Affairs at George Washington University. In addition, she is the current Chair of the San Diego Lawyers Chapter of the American Constitution Society (ACS) and a certified yoga instructor. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing yoga and spending time with her family.
