David Israel is an associate in the firm's San Diego area office, where he provides guidance to clients on litigation, charter school, and governance matters. Mr. Israel began his legal practice as an associate in a Southern California firm that represented public agencies, including K-12 school districts.
Mr. Israel works with board and cabinets on charter school petitions, student fees and free speech matters, the California Public Records Act, and the Brown Act. He has extensive experience in legal research, serving as a law clerk to a private firm and as a judicial clerk to the San Diego Superior Court while in law school, in addition to working for Westlaw Legal Research System, where he taught legal research techniques.
Mr. Israel graduated from the University of San Diego, where he earned both his Juris Doctor and an MBA. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, and in his free time, enjoys attending concerts and baseball games.
