Summer Dalessandro is a partner in F3's San Diego office. A highly respected education law attorney, Ms. Dalessandro is a member of the firm's Student Services and Special Education Practice Group. She has extensive experience advising school districts across the state on all aspects of special education law and practices, including administrative hearings, federal court appeals, mediations, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. In addition, she assists clients in the areas of labor & employment, charter schools, and governance and leadership.
As a seasoned advisor and trainer, Ms. Dalessandro provides counsel at both at the school site and administrative levels. She is also a popular speaker, sharing her knowledge on a broad spectrum of special education topics, as well student discipline, board governance, investigations, the Brown Act, and public records requests. Ms. Dalessandro is a frequent presenter at many conferences and symposia, including the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), and the California Council of School Attorneys (CCSA).
Ms. Dalessandro earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and studied abroad in the area of comparative constitutional law Oxford University. She holds a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. A member of the California State Bar, Ms. Dalessandro is admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California, as well as in the state of Minnesota.
