Donald McCann is an associate in the firm's San Diego area office. As a member of the Labor & Employment and Litigation Practice Groups, he currently assists clients on employment matters, including union relations, labor disputes, grievance arbitration, employee discipline and investigations, health benefits, discrimination complaints, and a host of issues concerning privacy rights and the Fourth Amendment.
Before joining F3, Mr. McCann worked as an attorney with the Office of the San Diego County District Attorney. While there, he was a member of the prosecution team in four jury trials, including obtaining a guilty verdict in a case of attempted murder of a police officer. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. McCann helped research and write the new policies and procedures the District Attorney’s Office follows in response to newly enacted legislation related to immigration.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. McCann worked in governmental relations in Washington, D.C., lobbying members of Congress and managing political action committees.
Mr. McCann earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from California Western School of Law in San Diego, and holds a B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University and M.A. in Homeland Security & International Relations from The Institute of World Politics in Washington, D.C. He also studied at New College, Oxford University in Oxford, England.He is admitted to the California Bar and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the California Western School of Law Alumni Association.
