Jennifer Michael-Stevens is an associate in the firm's Oakland office, where she primarily assists clients in a broad range of litigation matters. These matters include cases in state and federal court, as well as the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Prior to joining F3, Ms. Michael-Stevens worked as a criminal and regulatory defense attorney for six years. She specialized in regulatory investigations and defense, professional licensing matters, white collar defense, victim representation, and prosecuting and defending restraining orders. She represented both businesses and individuals in actions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, California Attorney General's Office, Bureau of Medicare Fraud and Elder Abuse, and many local District Attorney's offices. Ms. Michael-Stevens has secured clients acquittals from juries and judges and has won hearings in state and federal court in a variety of matters.
Ms. Michael-Stevens received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkley in 2012. She holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Trinity College in Connecticut, where she graduated with honors. A member of the State Bar of California, Ms. Michael-Stevens is admitted to the United States District Court, Northern District of California.
Prior to her career in law, Ms. Michael-Stevens worked for technology startups and was an analyst at a global consulting firm. In her free time she volunteers at elementary schools teaching mock trials to fifth graders. She also enjoys reading, yoga and being with her family.
