Rachael Tillman is an associate in the firm's Sacramento office where she primarily practices in the area of Student Services & Special Education. She has extensive trial, appellate, and administrative hearing experience, has appeared in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout the state, and has taken and defended numerous depositions.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tillman served as an associate in Sacramento and San Francisco area firms, where she represented schools in all aspects of litigation and administrative law, including civil rights issues, labor and employment matters, personal injury disputes, and violations of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. During law school, Ms. Tillman served as a legal intern for Sony Pictures Television's Business Affairs department. Following law school, she was a graduate fellow at the Golden Gate University School of Law.
Ms. Tillman received her Juris Doctor with a specialized certification in litigation from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2008, where she was on the Dean's List and received the Witkin Award for legal writing and research. While in law school, Ms. Tillman was a Mock Trial Student Team member and served as a Moot Court Board Student Mentor. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
