Mary Breffle is an associate in the firm's Oakland office and is a member of the Labor & Employment and Student Services & Special Education practice groups.
Prior to joining F3 as an associate, Ms. Breffle was a summer and fall associate and post-bar clerk for the firm. During law school, she externed for the Honorable Jacqueline S. Corley in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, worked as a certificated law clerk for East Bay Family Defenders, and served as a law clerk for Legal Aid at Work in San Francisco through the Workers’ Rights Clinic at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Ms. Breffle also interned for the Oakland Unified School District’s Office of the General Counsel and the Alameda County Family Justice Center. Prior to beginning her law career, she worked in the finance and technology industries.
Ms. Breffle earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, she was the Executive Articles Editor for the Constitutional Law Quarterly and volunteered with the Legal Aid Association of California and the Alameda County Bar Association. She also received a Moot Court award for excellent in oral advocacy. She holds a B.A. in media studies and a B.A. in sociology from the University of California, Berkley, from which she graduated with distinction.
