Big Changes for K-12 Schools in New Title IX Regulations



The U.S. Department of Education issued new regulations on sexual harassment in educational institutions, effective August 14, 2020.

The new regulations add significant procedural and training requirements for processing Title IX sexual harassment complaints, and they require districts to have separate administrators trained for:

  • TItle IX Coordinator
  • Investigator
  • Decisionmaker
  • Appeal Decisionmaker
  • Informal Resolution Facilitator
