Client-focused advocacy to resolve disputes

F3's primary approach is preventive whenever possible. We are experienced in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practices, including mediation and both binding and non-binding arbitration, and encourage clients to consider ADR options where appropriate in order to save the time and expense associated with litigation.

Nevertheless, some issues can be resolved only through litigation. In these matters, F3 is well equipped to represent clients. Our advice and transactional work are backed up by a group of experienced litigators who can forcefully represent the District’s position before administrative tribunals and in the courts.

The litigation team has experience before both state and federal trial and appellate courts in such diverse areas as:

  • Business, Facilities & Real Estate - bid protests, contractor claims, CEQA litigation
  • Governance - Brown Act violations, election eligibility
  • Labor & Employment - discrimination and sexual harassment claims, health and welfare benefit disuptes, wrongful termination
  • Personal Injury Litigation - sports injuries, insurance coverage disputes, sexual abuse claims
  • Student & Special Education - student discipline, grade disputes, appeals of special education due process proceedings
