In performing what are often dynamic and very emotional labor and employment-related investigations, I bring a steady hand, keen insight, experience with trauma-informed techniques and an ability to get people to open up—attributes that enable me to uncover and understand the relevant facts of a situation. I also conduct regulatory compliance training for my school district clients, which helps them avoid problems.

It’s very rewarding to be part of the solution and help clients overcome large and small problems. In my role as an investigator, I build rapport with people naturally, by just being genuine. I enjoy wearing the neutral hat and bringing an open mind to each issue. It’s important that I listen carefully to all sides of a story and give them equal weight and consideration.

Overview

Alice Donahue conducts both student-based Title IX and labor and employment-related investigations. On the front end, she also assists in providing advice and counsel to school district clients on staying compliant with the law and other general legal matters.

Alice’s calm, compassionate approach, informed perspective and ability to tailor messages to fit the age and sophistication level of her audience puts people at ease. With experience using trauma-informed techniques, Alice mitigates the negative aspects of inquiries and handles emotionally charged and intense cases with sensitivity and care.

Drawing on her outstanding work ethic and communication skills, Alice produces thorough, detailed and nuanced reports that articulate and simplify complex topics in a clear, digestible form. Fluent in three languages, she brings experience in conducting interviews in Spanish and French, as well as English.

During law school, Alice served as a legal intern at the Immigration Center for Women and Children. When she was pursuing her master’s degree in Latin American Studies, she wrote weekly book reviews and blog articles on K-12 multicultural pedagogy and helped plan outreach events. Alice is now gratified to practice at a firm where she can put her passion for public education to good use and make a positive day-to-day difference in a diverse array of young people’s lives.
