Zachary Davina

With extensive experience litigating matters from inception to resolution, Zachary Davina focuses his practice on the special education arena. In addition to guiding school districts in due process hearings, he advocates in conflicts involving issues such as student inclusion and “least restrictive environment” requirements under the Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA).

Zach brings first-rate communication and research skills to his practice and delves into each case to unearth relevant information and unique facts. He then drafts clear, influential written material to support and further clients’ interests.

Previously, Zach practiced as an associate at a Los Angeles law firm, where he handled all stages of civil litigation, from discovery to appeal. Prior to that, he worked on more than 200 cases as a San Diego Public Defender and provided full legal representation to clients through the entire criminal process.

Zach is gratified to apply his substantial legal skills and knowledge in service to what he considers to be our country’s greatest and most important institution—public education.
