What can I solve for you?

Applying my courtroom experience, ability to craft and deliver persuasive arguments, and cordial, steady demeanor, I represent school districts in all phases of litigation. I also counsel clients on governance issues and serve as their outside general counsel in advising on compliance matters and ways to avoid disputes, save resources, and achieve their educational objectives in the service of students.

What's it like to work with me?

I strongly believe that public education is the foundation of a free society, and I’m honored to have the privilege to represent and defend this noble institution by advocating for school districts. Clients appreciate my dedication to their work and know I’m entirely focused on helping them solve or avoid problems, advance their interests, and receive the best outcomes possible.

Overview

Bringing a pragmatic and personable approach to his practice, Brandon Lallande supports school agencies throughout California in litigation and a variety of other areas. Experienced in labor and employment law, he handles matters related to employee discipline and conducts investigations under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. On the governance side, Brandon helps clients fulfill their public meeting obligations under the Brown Act, as well as conduct elections in compliance with the California Voting Rights Act.

Brandon finds it gratifying to participate in the firm’s general counsel mission by advising and guiding firms proactively to prevent problems and disputes. If litigation does arise, he particularly enjoys multifaceted matters involving in-depth research, high-level legal writing and compelling intellectual challenges. Looking at issues from all sides, Brandon identifies the strengths and weaknesses of a case in order to craft the best strategy going forward.

As a trained Title IX investigator, Brandon works to investigate and resolve complaints concerning sexual misconduct or harassment and other situations that fall under the umbrella of Title IX. He aims to act as a neutral party to provide clients with unbiased information while maintaining a respectful attitude. Brandon also enjoys serving as one of the firm’s experienced investigators in addressing various student and employee complaints.

Whether he’s conversing with clients, colleagues, judges, school district administrators or people he’s interviewing in investigations, Brandon enjoys face-to-face interactions. He adjusts his communications to match his audience by gauging their level of familiarity with the subject at hand and determining the appropriate language to use. When addressing non-lawyers, Brandon breaks down complex, esoteric topics into simpler, more understandable pieces of information.

Brandon’s ability to effectively serve and defend clients is bolstered by his previous experience in courtrooms and chambers. Prior to beginning his career with F3, he clerked for the Riverside City Attorney’s Office. He also worked as a judicial extern, both for the Criminal Appeals and Correctional Law Divisions of the California Office of the Attorney General and for the Honorable Justice Gilbert Nares in California’s Fourth District Court of Appeal, Division One. In law school, Brandon was a member of the University of San Diego’s Executive Moot Court Board.
