With two years of experience in the public sector, I frequently engage with the public to help resolve various legal issues. I believe that effective communication is key to problem-solving, and often good communication can de-escalate issues in many situations. I prioritize understanding my client’s needs, providing ample notifications, and thoroughly explaining procedures. I am also skilled at researching legal matters and ensuring that advice is grounded in solid legal support and citations. Staying current on laws, recent developments, and relevant case law is critical to delivering accurate and reliable solutions.

Overview

Diana is a versatile education attorney who serves as a trusted advisor to her clients and is adept at navigating the complex legal landscape that governs educational institutions. In her role, she works on a variety of legal matters.

In her most recent role at the City of Fresno Attorney’s Office, she served the citizens of Fresno and assisted the council members as clients. She gained unique experience serving the public through the Eviction Protection Program and the Wage Theft Protection Program. Furthermore, she attended court daily to prosecute misdemeanor under the Fresno Municipal Code as a city prosecutor.

As a law clerk at the Attorney General’s Office, she contributed to both the criminal and civil divisions, working in the Appellate Writs, Trial, and Tort divisions. Under the supervision of the Deputy Attorney, she drafted the Respondent Brief to defend the State of California in the appeal process, gaining valuable experience in complex legal research and writing.

After School

I am a mother of two young children, which keeps me busy outside of work with homework, extracurricular activities, and family time. I actively support my daughter’s professional dance competitions throughout the year. I enjoy staying active through hot yoga and early-morning Pilates. I love exploring nature, especially beaches and the ocean. Once a year, I enjoy going backpacking to Twin Lakes to fish and hike up in the mountains. Piano is also a passion of mine and I serve as the pianist at my church's primary children's classes.
