Overview

Mona Masha is guided by a long‑standing commitment to service and practical problem‑solving. As a generalist at an education law firm, she advises and supports educational institutions across a broad range of legal matters, helping schools navigate complex regulatory, operational, and student‑centered issues.

She began their legal career providing pro bono representation to underserved communities in the San Diego area, assisting individuals with matters such as immigration and landlord‑tenant disputes. In this role, they worked with clients who might otherwise lack access to legal counsel, carefully listening to their concerns and guiding them through complex legal processes to help resolve critical issues.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mona worked as an administrator for a technical team at an education technology company supporting a learning management system used by school districts worldwide. In this position, they collaborated directly with school districts to ensure access to the technical assistance necessary to keep educational operations running smoothly. This experience provided a deeper understanding that effective education extends beyond curriculum and instruction and depends on reliable infrastructure and responsive support systems.

Together, these experiences inform Mona’s approach to law, which is rooted in service, empathy, and real‑world problem‑solving for both individuals and institutions.

After School

I enjoy playing and writing music, mostly playing the guitar in the genres of indie folk and rock music. I like to go on leisurely motorcycle rides exploring the various landmarks and landscapes across California. I also like reading, namely fiction in the horror, fantasy, and sci fi genres or non-fiction in music, philosophy, psychology, and sciences.
