As a thought partner, my goal is to support you in finding solutions that are best for you. Drawing from my insight and many years of experience in public education in leadership positions, I would be able to offer ideas and suggestions to address challenges after hearing from you and carefully analyzing the topic at hand with you. I love giving back after 36 years of serving children in school districts in California.

What's it like to work with me?

My working style is collaborative and respectful. I value people’s lived experience and am interested in generative conversations. To find the best solutions to challenges we encounter, I listen to the client, making sure I ask the right questions, and help them discover patterns, underlying structures, and mental models to come up with solutions that provide the highest leverage results. Being reflective about our practices is critical. I strongly believe that every child’s brilliance is always ready to be ignited. Our responsibility as educators is to pave the way. My motto has always been, we must do right by children, every single one of them!

Overview

Parvin Ahmadi provides executive coaching and mentoring and supports superintendents and governing boards, with a primary focus on planning, process, and assessing and improving underlying systems.

Parvin’s career as an educator spans 36 years, with the last fifteen as district superintendent in two successful districts in the Bay Area. As a member of the State Assembly Blue Ribbon Commission, she worked with a small team of educators to develop the Blueprint for children 0-5 in California. And, in 2023-2024, she was elected to serve as the President for ACSA, the Association of California School Administrators, with 18,000 California administrators supporting nearly six million children.

Understanding educators’ goal of fully supporting each and every child, Parvin helps administrators ensure their systems are effectively aligned, so their district may move forward with clear purpose and intentionality. In addition to her consulting work, she teaches in the graduate program in the Educational Leadership Division at Cal State East Bay. She has also been teaching Masters in Governance courses offered by the California State Board Association (CSBA) for several years.

Parvin is a fierce advocate for public education and equity. She is skilled at bringing people together, including platforms that allow for student voice and input, to tackle challenges and create new opportunities. She believes in uplifting the cultural wealth of historically marginalized communities to create a blueprint for a better world

Involvement

  • Selected as a board member for the California Association of Asian and Pacifika Leaders in Education (CAAPLE) to continue mentoring other administrators and advocating for public education (2025)
  • Serves on the Board of Directors for Moms Against Poverty (MAP), a global non-profit organization whose mission is to lessen the incidence and effects of poverty for impoverished children around the world

After School

I love being a grandmother for the first time. She is an absolute joy, and I love spending time with her, watching her grow. I stay active, walking, swimming, and staying healthy. I also love snowboarding with my family.
