What can I solve for you?

I facilitate governance work and assess and support communication practices, from the boardroom to the classroom, in support of trust and service to students.  I assist with governance and leadership teams to clarify and articulate a compelling, shared vision that anchors all strategic and operational decisions. I guide boards and executive leaders to strengthen governance practices, clarify roles and responsibilities, and build the trust necessary for effective collaboration. Through individualized mentoring and team development, I support leaders in enhancing their strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making capabilities. My approach ensures that governance structures, leadership practices, and organizational strategy remain aligned, agile, and focused on measurable impact.

What's it like to work with me?

I’m honored to perform my role in the vital education profession. I enjoy knowing that I can enhance the level of service for you by wrapping around the law all of the political, public engagement and interpersonal communication realities that you deal with regarding your employees, parents and families, the broader community and ultimately—and most importantly—the students.

Overview

Terilyn combines her experience in corporate and crisis communications with her work as a school board member to advise and support clients on a wide range of leadership and communication challenges.

Regarded for her collaborative and friendly style, Terilyn facilitates governance team building and workshops to help boards set clear goals and clarify responsibilities, distinguishing between the work of the board and administration.

Terilyn and other members of the firm’s Next Level Client Services facilitate long-term and immediate-need strategic planning, including assessing communication practices to help build trust across all constituencies.

After School

Family always sits at the top of my list. I especially enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and their friends. I’m an enthusiastic cook, and my husband and I love to entertain. He’s a professional musician, so attending his gigs and being immersed in the world of jazz music plays a big part in my life.

Terilyn finds joy serving on the board of directors for the Royal Theater Academy, a multi-generational musical theater company.  The company produces two full-scale musicals every year to sell-out crowds. Dedicated to inspiring the artist in everyone, RTA has seen many of its young performers find success, ranging from joining Broadway touring productions to securing scholarships to pursue theater arts at esteemed institutions.  A former opera singer herself, Terilyn believes that the artistic collaboration and performance help people to “put down the devices, step away from the computer,” and create with others.
