In April of this year, the Biden Administration issued a new set of Title IX regulations that are set to take effect on August 1, 2024. The new regulations contain several significant changes affecting how schools, districts, and Title IX coordinators address sex discrimination and establishing new procedures that apply to all allegations of sex discrimination, not just specific types of sex-based harassment.
As states across the nation prepare to implement these new changes, several have filed lawsuits challenging the new rules and in some, injunctions have been issued. Here in California however, the new rules will continue to go into effect on August 1, 2024. To provide Districts across the state with insight into the changes, F3 and ACSA have partnered to provide training to prepare administrators for the 2024-25 school year.
F3 partner Jacqueline Litra, a highly knowledgeable and experienced attorney in the area Title IX, will be leading this two-part training. The training is scheduled for August 6th and August 13th.
