Drawing on my experience as a legal aid attorney and legislative policy advocate, I bring an analytical and insightful perspective on the full range of special education and student services matters. I represent my clients with passion and dedication, and I understand the many seemingly intractable challenges they face in serving every student. I value a collaborative approach in crafting creative and child-centered solutions to protect my clients from conflict and litigation down the road.

What's it like to work with me?

As a graduate of public institutions from high school through law school, I consider it an honor and a privilege to guide education professionals in supporting the next generation of empathetic and critical thinkers. It is not a responsibility I take lightly. I bring a genuine curiosity, a keen ability to identify the root issues, and a commitment to meet my clients where they are, so we can problem solve together. My listening skills, approachability and curiosity only strengthens the relationships I build with my clients. I prioritize a collaborative relationship, one in which we both learn from each other.

Overview

A champion for equal access to justice, Aisha Sleiman has dedicated her career to empowering underserved communities through legal advocacy. Currently, she represents school districts in the Bay Area and Sacramento on all aspects of special education law. Specifically, Aisha represents clients in IEP meetings, Section 504 meetings, litigation and due process hearings, as well as matters before the Office of Civil Rights and the California Department of Education.

Aisha’s legal career is marked by a faithful dedication to housing and economic reform and advocacy, with the aim to bring about long-lasting and systemic changes in the most under-served communities. She is skilled at bridging relationships that may be deadlocked or fraught with challenges thanks to her ability to immerse herself in and build trust with a wide cross-section of the communities she serves. Aisha is also adept at identifying and analyzing the intersection of aspects of the law on the issues her clients face, all with an empathetic and steady hand.

Before joining F3 Law she was a supervising attorney overseeing a team of housing attorneys leading impactful initiatives including drafting draft legislation, organizing advocacy efforts, and participating in litigation to address systemic issues and promote fair housing practices.

Throughout her career, Aisha has demonstrated a commitment to racial equity and community empowerment. From drafting local ordinances to leading advocacy efforts on critical issues like affordable housing, Aisha has consistently used the law to create a more just and equitable society.

After School

I have a young child, who keeps me running around when I am not working. I enjoy spending time with and cooking for my family and friends. I am a voracious reader, from philosophy to sociology to literary fiction to a good thriller or other genre fiction.
