What can I solve for you?

I help clients identify and mitigate risk in ways that align with their budget realities and board expectations. Whether negotiating a software agreement or reviewing a contract for a district-wide furniture purchase, my goal is the same: to help you make sound, well-protected decisions so you can focus on what matters most, serving your students, staff and communities.

What's it like to work with me?

Clients can expect me to be clear, responsive and attentive to the details that matter. I take the time to understand each client’s goals and concerns, and even when I can’t provide a full answer immediately, I ensure that clients know their message has been received and is being anaylized. I also prioritize building strong relationships, because good communication and trust lead to more effective and higher quality work.

Overview

Amanda Savage advises school districts, special districts and municipalities throughout California on a wide range of legal matters, including contracting and procurement, construction, technology and board governance. She focuses particularly on facilities and business matters,  specifically construction, commercial contracting and procurement, guiding clients through careful and protective bidding and request for proposal (“RFP”) processes for goods and services ranging from software systems to architects.

Both at the state and federal levels, Amanda has developed a strong niche in technology contracts as well as website content and application compliance, including accessibility, data protection, and privacy and security. Her interest in technology-related matters was further shaped through her work with the U.S. Navy on complex government projects that involved significant technological infrastructure and regulatory considerations.

In addition to her advisory work, Amanda provides client trainings and regularly speaks at professional forums, including the California Association of School Business Officials, on legal and operational issues affecting educational and municipal institutions.

After School

Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can with my young son, who seems to be growing up much too quickly. I really try to make the most of that family time. In the limited free time that I have, I enjoy taking our family dog on a run.
