What can I solve for you?

I help school districts navigate complex issues across education law, including but not limited to, employment, governance, special education, and student discipline matters. I help provide practical, legally sound solutions that help leaders make informed, confident decisions.

What's it like to work with me?

I strive to bring a collaborative, organized, and solutions-focused approach to every question and challenge. I work to simplify issues, anticipate what's ahead, and deliver clear, practical guidance. I aim to build strong connections with clients by being responsive and providing timely, reliable support every step of the way.

Overview

Caroline Rothans focuses her practice on both student and employee matters. She assists clients with an array of issues, including those in the areas of special education, public records requests, and labor and employment.

With a strong interest in legal research and writing, Caroline approaches each assignment with initiative and resourcefulness, whether that means identifying relevant authorities or locating helpful examples to build from. She is highly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and clarity in every memorandum, report, and analysis she prepares. A committed team player, Caroline collaborates effectively across projects and practice areas, contributing thoughtfully and reliably to support client needs and firm goals.

While in law school, Caroline served as the Senior Production Editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review. Caroline was also a summer law clerk for a medical malpractice law firm, a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and a Certified Law Clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. Collectively, these experiences allowed her to refine her analytical skills and gain early, hands-on experience, along with meaningful opportunities to observe courtroom proceedings.

After School

After school, you can often find me hanging out with my friends or family (especially my nephew), playing softball in my co-ed league, or watching a movie at a local movie theater. I love to sing musical theater songs, play the piano, and ride the craziest rides at theme parks. I'm also an avid Dodgers and 49ers fan!
