Madisyn Aleshire advises school district clients statewide in special education and student services matters. Madisyn advocates in related litigation and appeals before the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), federal courts, as well as compliance complaints before the California Department of Education and the United States Department of Education Office for Civil Rights. She handles a variety of issues related to districts obligations under the IDEA, eligibility disputes, appropriateness of special education services and supports, special education assessments, placement, and student behavior and discipline, including suspensions and expulsions.

Placing a priority on establishing strong relationships with those she represents, Madisyn engages clients and earns their trust by candidly presenting them with realistic assessments of matters and clearly outlining districts obligations under the law. She enjoys creatively strategizing to protect districts and resolve problems efficiently. With a sharp intellect and a keen ability to recall facts and think quickly on her feet, Madisyn relishes the opportunity to defend public school administrative organizations while simultaneously keeping students’ well-being and best interests front and center in due process and other legal hearings. Her approach consistently results in an outstanding winning track record for her clients.

Currently serving as office managing associate in the firm’s San Diego office, Madisyn brings rich experience to her practice. Prior to joining F3, she primarily focused on special education and labor & employment-related issues. Madisyn also previously served our San Diego legal community while working for the San Diego Public Defender, externing for the Honorable Mitchell D. Dembin, working at a civil litigation firm, and interned at the Education and Disability Legal Clinic in San Diego.
