Olivia Pacheco Brown focuses on special education law, with an interest in charter schools and rural communities. She supports clients with issues requiring legal research in employment and special education law, special education due process hearings, and professional development for educators in special education law.

During law school, Olivia’s pro bono and clinical work primarily concerned the advocacy of children’s issues. Olivia represented minors in the child welfare system, using her experience as an educator to develop strong relationships with her clients. In her special education advocacy work, Olivia represented students and supported parents in mediations, Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee meetings, Manifestation Determination Reviews, and disciplinary reviews. Olivia also trained and supported student and attorney volunteers and fostered relationships with community members to support the special education pro bono project.

Prior to law school, Olivia was a public school teacher for several years. This experience gives her unique insights into the challenges faced by students and educators, making her a valuable asset to her clients.
