Overview

Avery W. Kunstler focuses on special education matters. Committed to public education and equity, Avery advocates for school districts in Northern California, collaborating with clients to navigate complex special education requirements.

Before joining F3, Avery spent many years as a litigation assistant for a plaintiff’s firm. Then, during and after law school, Avery gained invaluable experience as a pro bono clinic student leader and public interest law clerk. This work included the provision of direct legal services, educational outreach, community advocacy, and hosting monthly legal clinics.

Avery’s practical experience in administrative and agency law, familiarity with state and federal courts, and client-centered services are foundational to his legal skillset. With a vast range of academic and legal passions, Avery’s ability to look at issues through an intersectional lens, while concentrating on the specific case details, is an asset for providing clients with comprehensive representation and analysis.

After School

I enjoy spending time with loved ones, walking my rescue dog along the American River, art, reading, and horseback riding. My favorite places include the California coast, Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, libraries, independent bookstores, and museums.
