As a transactional lawyer, I help educational institutions navigate the business and real estate aspects of education law. I work on real estate transactions, lease agreements, and a wide range of operational matters that keep these institutions running smoothly. I help structure property deals that support long-term growth, negotiate fair and sustainable leases, and address day-to-day business issues with passion and care.

Overview

Jake Keller advises school districts on a myriad of transactional legal issues, providing essential legal counsel for their day-to-day operations. He specializes in meticulously reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts across the real estate, business, and facilities spaces.

He draws heavily on his previous experience working at one of California’s premier lobbying firms. This experience is complemented by his earlier work as a former corporate attorney, which sharpened his skills in high-stakes contract management and negotiation.

As the son and grandson of California public school teachers, Jake is passionate about using his transactional legal skills to help positively impact schools and communities across California.

After School

Outside of the office, I enjoy playing golf, surfing, traveling and rooting for Chicago sports teams. When I am not reading contracts, I enjoy reading Hemingway novels and historical fiction.
