I’ve been in my client’s shoes. With 20+ years in private practice and in-house roles, I understand concerns extend beyond the immediate legal issue. I always keep in mind the variety of areas and interests that could be impacted when providing legal advice.

What's it like to work with me?

A mentor once told me if you didn’t learn something new that day, you hadn’t practiced law. It means I put in the work to get to know my client’s business the way that they do. I get the answers they need, learning new and ancillary areas of law. It’s part of my personal commitment to seeing my clients succeed.

As an elementary school teacher, my mom, who passed in 2018, had a love for learning and a passion for passing along her learning to others. She instilled in me respect for, and love of, teaching.   As an attorney at F3, I am fortunate to continue to carry on her legacy through my working relationships with my colleagues and clients.

Overview

Laura R. Wagner focuses her practice primarily on business and facilities issues. With experience in public financing, philanthropy/fundraising, vendor contracting, financial reporting, treasury operations, real estate, investigations, governance matters, and policies and procedures, Laura can advise on an array of complex issues related to California school districts and other education-related public agencies.

Laura enjoys building relationships and collaborating with her clients. She is always willing to explore new and creative solutions and think through various scenarios with her clients. She’s hard working and focused, but also warm, compassionate and fun with a great sense of humor. Clients appreciate her attention to detail and ability to learn quickly and think on her feet.

Prior to joining F3, Laura spent 13 years in-house at a health entity working on business, tax and governance matters and uses this experience to anticipate client needs. She also spent a decade working on public finance matters.

After School

I was born and raised in Arizona, have lived in Roseville, California for 17 years, and yet I’ve been a Green Bay Packers shareholder since 2011. I am the proud mother of a red fox Labrador, tuxedo cat, and a female ginger cat (which is very rare as most ginger cats are male).

I love traveling. My favorite place to be is the beach, but the chilly and foggy kind—more Mediterranean Sea than tropical vibe. I also enjoy volunteering with community organizations, including Feed My Starving Children, Dry Creek Conservancy and FieldHaven Feline Center.
