I’m a sharp investigator who’s good at seeing where things are headed—especially when litigation might be on the horizon. I help clients get ahead of problems before they grow, whether that means interviewing key witnesses, digging up critical evidence, or making sure you’re as prepared as possible if a case does go to trial.

What's it like to work with me?

I’m a strong listener who can take in what people share, make sense of it, and turn it into meaningful action something useful. My ability to connect with others comes from the path I took before entering law—working in public education, nightlife and entertainment, as well as sports and recreation. These experiences help me understand my clients on a deeper level, which makes me a stronger advocate.

Overview

Lance Kennix represents California school districts and other public entities with labor and employment, personal injury and other litigation matters. He makes court appearances, writes motions, and defends depositions and contribute to litigation  strategy throughout discovery and trial.

Lance has recently returned to F3 Law, where he spent previously spent four years as an associate in the firm’s Inland Empire and Oakland offices, assisting school districts and local governmental entities with litigation matters relating to personal injuries, labor and employment, disability discrimination, and some business, facilities & real estate matters as well. In the interim, he focused on plaintiff side personal injury matters, which now provides him with valuable perspective for his defense-side clients.

Lance writes (and ghostwrites) regularly on legal practices and principles and has been published by such outlets as Thompson Reuters. With a particular interest in sports and recreation, he has litigated cases involving injuries sustained in baseball, soccer, wrestling and track and field. Drawing on his deep understanding of athletics, including experience in coaching and program management, Lance brings valuable insight and strategic advantage to clients facing sports-related litigation.

After School

In my free time, I enjoy coaching sports, volunteering in my region’s youth soccer organization and riding my Suzuki Hayabusa. I use the motorcycle for my daily commute, but it is even more fun using it to ride in the canyons.
